TAIPEI MUSIC ACADEMY & FESTIVAL
The Formosa Quartet is thrilled to be faculty and ensemble-in-residence at the 2019 Taipei Music Academy & Festival led under the artistic direction of violinist Cho-Liang Lin.
From July 30 to August 9, a select group of 32 players forming 8 string quartets will participate in an intensive string quartet survey seminar under the direction of the Formosa Quartet. Each group will receive coaching in addition to other study opportunities (masterclasses, mock auditions, audition tutorials, etc.). Pre-formed quartets are welcome to apply. Specific repertoire request will be considered.
The orchestral training program will commence on August 11 with conductor Jahja Ling followed by an orchestral tour on August 16, 17, and 18 in Taiwan.
